Mia Olson - Softball Pitching - Hitting Coach

Mia Olson played for FAU on scholarship all 4 years of college as a pitcher and a designated hitter. She was coached under softball pitching legend Joan Joyce. She is a two time NFCA All-region player and in 2019 she was named to the All-Conference USA team as a pitcher and designated hitter. She is 3rd for all time career homeruns in FAU history. Mia has played at the highest level of Division 1 softball including facing top 10 teams in the country. 


In high school, Mia was a top performer leading all categories in offense at Timber Creek high school. Batting well over .400 and a 4-year varsity starter, Mia led her team in offense to the state semi finals. She broke many records at Timber Creek, including career home runs. In travel ball, Mia played for a competitive team, Windermere Wildfire. She traveled all over the country for ASA tournaments such as nationals and a variety of showcase tournaments where FAU spotted her. She is knowledgeable in the recruiting process and has great knowledge on what coaches look for in the recruiting process. 


Mia has been developing softball players for many years ages 8-18. Her knowledge and commitment comes from years of experiences of being a player and coach herself. Softball continues to be her passion even after retiring from her successful career as a player.
